I was born in Cambridge, England in 1958, and spent my first 18 years in the Fenland town of Ramsey. After studying electronics at the University of East Anglia, I spent the next 25 years working for LJ Create Ltd in Norwich, designing electronic equipment for education. I moved back to Ramsey Forty Foot in 2005 to look after my elderly Mum, and continue to work as an electronic hardware and software design consultant. There's just me and my little dog Dougie here now, and my time is filled with a wide range of hobbies and interests, as you will discover while exploring this site.
I have over 10 years experience in writing Windows software professionally using Delphi. Combining that with my interests, I have released some programs for sale. These include the following:
- MycoCam - assists in microscopic examination of fungus spores etc.
- G-70 Session Manager - file organiser and editor for Roland high-end keyboards
